Why You Should Book Your Christmas Mini Session Early

I know. It’s still summer, the kids are probably running around barefoot, and Christmas may feel approximately 700 years away.

But if you want beautiful, stress-free Christmas photos this year, booking early is the move.

Public booking for Tara Lee Photography’s Christmas Mini Sessions opens August 1, and these sessions are always some of the most popular dates on my calendar. Here’s why grabbing your spot early makes the entire experience easier.

You’ll Have the Best Choice of Session Times

Christmas Mini Sessions are scheduled back-to-back over one festive weekend, which means availability is limited. The most popular times—especially those that work well around naps, sports, and family schedules—tend to go first.

Booking early gives you the best opportunity to choose a time that works for your family instead of trying to squeeze everyone into whatever is left.

Because convincing an overtired toddler to smile for a Christmas card is nobody’s idea of holiday magic.

You’ll Have Plenty of Time to Plan Outfits

Once your session is officially booked, you can start planning outfits without a last-minute panic purchase. You’ll have time to coordinate colors, order anything you need, and make sure everyone’s clothes actually fit before session day.

My best advice is always to coordinate without perfectly matching and choose outfits that feel comfortable, timeless, and true to your family.

Your Christmas Cards Will Be Ready on Time

Booking an early session means your photos can be edited, delivered, and turned into Christmas cards before December becomes pure chaos.

You’ll be able to choose your favorite images, order cards or gifts, and check one major holiday task off your list before Thanksgiving leftovers even enter the chat.

It’s Quick, Easy, and Actually Fun

My Christmas Mini Sessions are designed to give you beautiful, personality-filled images without requiring your family to participate in a long photo session.

I’ll guide you through the entire experience, help with posing, keep things moving, and make the process as quick and painless as possible. We’ll capture the sweet smiles, the snuggles, and probably a little chaos—because that’s where the good stuff lives.

Public Booking Opens August 1

This year’s Christmas Mini Sessions will take place November 14–16 and include two festive scenes to choose from.

These sessions are limited, and once the schedule is full, it’s full. If Christmas photos are on your family’s list this year, set a reminder for August 1 and be ready to grab your preferred time.

I cannot wait to create a little Christmas magic with your family!
