When people see me now — running a business, photographing newborns, families, and mentoring other photographers — it can be easy to assume I always knew what I was doing. The truth? I started just like so many of you: a mom with a camera and a deep desire to capture the moments I didn’t want to forget.
Back then, I didn’t know the “rules” of photography. I just knew I wanted to hold onto the way Brody’s eyes crinkled when he laughed, or how Lane’s tiny hand fit into mine, or how Chase never sat still for more than 30 seconds.
I googled. I asked questions. I made mistakes — a lot of them. But with each photo, I grew.
Then life shifted in ways I couldn’t have expected. Grief entered my story. Losing loved ones made me pull away but now I'm even more determined to document the everyday, because I realized how quickly everything can change. That’s when photography became more than a hobby — it became my purpose.
Fast forward to today: I get to photograph families in Edwardsville and Glen Carbon, capturing their chaos, connection, and love. I also get to help other moms and budding photographers learn how to use their cameras with confidence — so they can freeze their own family’s moments, or even turn a passion into something more.
✨ If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could take better photos of my kids,” or “I’ve always dreamed of starting photography, but I don’t know where to start”… I’ve been there. And I’d love to help you take the next step.
📸 Stay tuned — I’ve got something exciting coming for moms and hobbyist photographers who are ready to learn.
