Your dress deserves more than one day.

Wedding days are beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable—but they move fast. There is a timeline to follow, family to greet, a ceremony to attend, and approximately 47 people asking where they are supposed to stand.

Before you know it, the day you spent months—or even years—planning is over.

And sometimes, the photographs you dreamed about are the very thing that got rushed.

That is why I created The Bridal Edit, a modern bridal portrait experience by Tara Lee Photography for women who want more time, more intention, and more space to celebrate this version of themselves.

Your Dress. Your Moment. Your Era.

The Bridal Edit is not about recreating your wedding day. It is about giving your bridal story the attention it deserves.

This is your opportunity to step into your dress without watching the clock. To slow down and appreciate every detail—the veil, the bouquet, the jewelry, the movement of the fabric, and the woman wearing it all.

It is an editorial portrait experience designed to feel elevated, feminine, personal, and completely centered around you.

No guests waiting. No ceremony timeline. No racing against cocktail hour.

Just time to breathe, celebrate, and create bridal portraits that feel like art.

You Do Not Have to Be a Traditional Bride

The Bridal Edit was intentionally created for more than one type of woman or one stage of the bridal journey.

It may be for you if:

  • You are preparing for your wedding and want intentional bridal portraits before the big day.
  • You are planning a courthouse, military, intimate, or destination wedding.
  • You were a COVID bride whose original plans or photography experience changed.
  • Your wedding day felt rushed, and you did not receive the bridal portraits you hoped for.
  • You are celebrating an anniversary or meaningful new chapter.
  • You are a second-time bride doing things in a way that feels true to you.
  • Your dress has been hanging in the closet, and you have been waiting for a reason to wear it again.
  • You simply want to honor the woman you were—and the woman you have become.

There is no right age, size, dress style, wedding timeline, or reason to book a bridal portrait session. Traditional or nontraditional, newly engaged or married for years—there is room for your story here.

More Than Just a Photo Session

You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to feel naturally comfortable in front of the camera. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to do with your hands.

That part is my job.

Every Bridal Edit session will be thoughtfully planned and fully guided from beginning to end. We will work together to create a look and experience that feels like you, with details such as:

  • Styling assistance before your session
  • Hair and makeup coordination, if desired
  • Guidance for your veil, bouquet, jewelry, and accessories
  • Professional posing and direction throughout the experience
  • Time to photograph the details and movement of your dress
  • A relaxed atmosphere with music and a champagne toast
  • A curated gallery of professionally edited portraits
  • Options for albums, framed fine-art prints, and wall art

The experience may take place in the Tara Lee Photography studio in Edwardsville or incorporate an outdoor location, depending on the vision we create together.

The goal is not to force you into someone else's version of bridal. The goal is to create photographs that look and feel like you—only elevated.

Why Bridal Portraits Matter

Your dress is more than something beautiful you wore.

It holds the nerves before the ceremony, the joy of seeing yourself fully ready, the people who helped you get there, and the version of you who stepped into an entirely new season of life.

That deserves to be documented with intention.

Not only for social media. Not only for an announcement. But for the album your children may one day flip through, the framed portrait that becomes part of your home, and the future version of you who will be so glad you allowed yourself to take up this space.

These photographs are not simply about the dress.

They are about you in it.
