Stop overthinking! We are in this together!

If you're anything like most of my branding clients, you're probably excited about fresh photos... and also wondering:

"What do I wear?"

"What should I bring?"

"What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?"

"What photos do I even need?"

Take a deep breath.

You don't need to have it all figured out before your branding session. That's what I'm here for.

My goal is to make this process feel simple, fun, and completely customized to your business. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your session.

# 1. Think About How You'll Use Your Photos

Before your session, spend a few minutes thinking about where your images will live.

Will they be used on:

* Your website?

* Social media?

* Marketing materials?

* Email newsletters?

* Speaking engagements?

* LinkedIn?

The more we know about where your images are going, the more intentional we can be when creating them.

# 2. Bring Props That Represent Your Business

One of the easiest ways to make your branding photos feel authentic is by incorporating items you already use every day.

Some examples include:

* Laptop

* Phone

* Planner

* Coffee mug

* Camera

* Product samples

* Packaging materials

* Notebook

* Tools of your trade

Think about what your clients would expect to see if they walked into your workspace.

# 3. Choose Outfits That Feel Like You

The best branding photos don't happen when you're trying to look like someone else.

Choose clothing that:

* Fits well

* Makes you feel confident

* Matches your brand colors

* Reflects how you normally show up for clients

I typically recommend bringing 1-3 outfit options depending on your session type.

When in doubt, simple and timeless always wins.

# 4. Don't Stress About Posing

This is probably the biggest concern I hear.

"I am so awkward in photos."

First of all—you are not alone.

Second—you do not need to know how to pose.

I will guide you through the entire session. I'll help with where to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, and how to create natural expressions that actually feel like you.

No modeling experience required.

# 5. Make Sure Hair, Makeup, and Nails Are Camera Ready

You don't need to hire a professional makeup artist (unless you want to), but it's worth spending a little extra time on the details.

A few things to consider:

* Clean and polished nails

* Tidy facial hair if applicable

* Hair styled the way you typically wear it

* Neutral makeup that helps you feel confident

Remember, we're creating images you'll use for months or even years.

## 6. Give Yourself Permission to Show Your Personality

The strongest branding photos aren't the perfectly posed ones.

They're the images that help potential clients feel connected to you.

Laugh.

Move.

Tell stories.

Be yourself.

People don't buy from logos.

They buy from people they know, like, and trust.

Final Thoughts

Your branding session isn't about looking perfect.

It's about creating images that help tell your story, showcase your expertise, and make it easier for the right people to connect with your business.

You don't need to show up with a Pinterest board, a perfect plan, or a list of poses.

Just show up as yourself.

I'll help with the rest.
